Going inconvenient
I've noticed on the socials that people are talking about 'going analogue'. And among other things that means using a digital camera and an iPod.
So, really it means 'going inconvenient' or 'going non-phone'. Which is fine. Those are valid things to do.
And 'analogue' in this instance is clearly meant as a vibe and not a technology category. And so the language moves on.
The esteemed Dan pointed out this brilliant article by Elizabeth Goodspeed about the production side of this; the veneer of analogue and the display of effort.
